
CONCORD, N.C. — Three people were struck by a vehicle in a church parking lot Tuesday morning. Police say the church, Center United Methodist Church on Union Street, is a polling site for the primary election.
Investigators say 55-year-old Tony Allen, 64-year-old Susan Hicks, and 62-year-old Sharon Campbell, were hit by 79-year-old Fay Griffin’s minivan while he was moving in reverse in the parking lot.
All three people were transported to Carolinas Medical Center Northeast. At last check, they were all listed in stable condition. Police say, Griffin, remained on the scene while police investigated. No charges at this time have been filed. The investigation is ongoing.
