CHARLOTTE, NC — As of today, all CMS schools, transportation and operations will be on a normal schedule for Tuesday, Sept. 11.
The safety and security of students, staff and families is top priority. At 12:15 p.m. today, Hurricane Florence was upgraded to a Category 4 hurricane by the National Weather Service.
Due to projected inclement weather from Hurricane Florence, ALL CMS high school home varsity football games scheduled for Friday, Sept. 14, have been rescheduled to Wednesday, Sept. 12, with a 6 p.m. kick-off. Decisions on all other athletic contests scheduled for this week will be made at a later time.
CMS will update on all other athletic contests scheduled this week as further information is available. CMS will continue to update families, students, staff and the community as the district continues to monitor Hurricane Florence and possible impacts. Repeating, CMS schools will remain open on a normal schedule tomorrow, Tuesday, Sept. 11.
