ASHEVILLE, NC — An Amber Alert was issued Wednesday evening for 2-year-old Ezra Jones out of Buncombe County, North Carolina. The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office says they believe Jones was abducted by 27-year-old Stephen Drake Jones.
Stephen Jones is described as a white male, 6 feet 1 inch tall, 185 pounds, with medium length red hair and hazel eyes. Officials say he was last seen wearing a t-shirt, khaki shorts, and a baseball cap.
He also has a tattoo on his upper shoulder that says “Ezra David Jones.”
The 2-year-old Jones is described as an Asian male with short brown hair and brown eyes. He is roughly 3 feet tall and 30 pounds.
Investigators say the two were last seen in Henderson County, North Carolina traveling towards Black Mountain in a blue 1990 Ford F-250 with NC license plate number PEC5783. Officials believe they are traveling to the Winston Salem area.
