Water Boil Advisory Still In Effect For Parts Of Fort Mill, SC

FORT MILL, SC — The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control and The Town of Fort Mill has issued a Boil Water Advisory to the customers of the Town of Fort Mill’s drinking water system.

The areas impacted by the advisory include:

  • Spratt Street from – Fort Mill By-Pass (At Riverview Elementary) to White Street
    • Side streets from Spratt Street to include:
      • Shamrock Court
      • Kanawha Street
      • Leonidas Street
      • Old Orchard Park
  • Additional Streets:
    • Brickyard Road
    • Myers Street
    • Phillips Street
    • Massey Street
    • McKenzie Street
    • Mccammon Street
    • Ardrey Street
    • Fail Street
    • Sullivan Aly

Customers are asked to vigorously boil their water for at least one minute prior to drinking or cooking.

A watermain break on the Town of Fort Mill system has left the eastern and southeastern portion of the Town with no water for an extended period of time. Due to the possibility of contamination of the water supply the advisory was issued as a precaution by the Town and SCDHEC officials.

Town staff will be performing bacteria sampling after flushing and will lift the advisory once negative samples have been confirmed for the affected areas.
