UNC Charlotte Hosts Women’s Volleyball ‘Dig Pink’ Match To Benefit Breast Cancer Research
CHARLOTTE, NC — The UNC Charlotte Women’s Volleyball is raising money for breast cancer research.
It’s all part of the university’s ‘Dig Pink’ campaign to raise money for The Side-Out Foundation that funds clinic trials for stage IV breast cancer patients.
The organization works with almost 7,000 teams across the world for all ages and has raised over $14 million in its first 10 years.
People can donate at the ‘Dig Pink’ match or online at Charlotte49ers.com.
During the match, a silent auction will be held for a super snug, pink, UNC Charlotte blanket.
Charlotte has raised about $3000 this October and hopes to reach $5000.
The ‘Dig Pink’ volleyball match is Thursday, Oct. 26 at 6 p.m. in Halton Arena.
Come out and wear your pink!
