Final Suspect Wanted For 2018 Lancaster County Burglary, Shooting Arrested In Charlotte

Lancaster County deputies say Danquinton Johnson was arrested by CMPD on February 26th and extradited to Lancaster on March 1st.

Johnson was the last of four suspects to be arrested on charges related to a shooting and burglary incident that happened on Thursday, November 1, 2018.

He has been charged with 1st Degree Burglary, Attempted Murder and Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Violent Crime.

β€œAll four people responsible for this violent event are now in custody,” said Sheriff Barry Faile. β€œThe judicial system will take over from here. We appreciate the help of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department with getting Johnson into custody.”

LANCASTER, SC — Lancaster County deputies are still looking for one suspect involved in a burglary and shooting that happened overnight Thursday, November 1st.

Officials say warrants are still out for Danquinton Johnson, 27.Β He was reportedly involved in a burglary and shooting incident that happened around 12:15am at a home on Kings Circle.

According to reports, the victim was coming home from work when he was alerted to a possible break-in taking place at his house. He reportedly pulled onto a neighboring road and noticed lights on inside and the back door standing open.

The victim told deputies he was shot by the suspects while sitting in his car, and drove himself to the hospital for treatment. Officials say his injuries were non-life threatening.

Deputies say 21-year-old Aikiriea Crockett was arrested on the morning of November 1st and charged with Attempted Murder and 1st Degree Burglary. On November 6th, deputies say they also arrested Travis Miller, 35, and charged him withΒ Attempted Murder, 1st Degree Burglary, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Violent Crime and Possession of a Stolen Firearm.

Malcolm Belk, 28, was arrested on November 18th. He is charged withΒ Attempted Murder, 1st Degree Burglary and Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Violent Crime.

Johnson is currently wanted on a charge of 1st Degree Burglary, but officials say more charges are likely. At this time, he should be considered armed and dangerous.
