BOONE, NC — Police are looking for a suspect they say carjacked a woman at gunpoint Monday evening.
The crime happened around 6:19pm in a parking lot on Madison Avenue. The victim says the suspect approached her, demanded the keys to her silver 2002 Nissan Xterra at gunpoint and then took off in the vehicle.
The suspect is described as a black male wearing a black hoodie, dark pants, and a white patterned bandana over his face.
Police say the victim’s vehicle has an App State decal across the top of the rear window, as well as a monogram sticker, a Sigma Alpha Omega sticker, a red adventure sticker, and a contra dance sticker. The vehicle has a North Carolina license plate with the number BHX-4369.
