Is It Too Early To Talk The Panthers In The Playoffs?

The Carolina Panthers have a short turnaround this week.
They take on the Steelers in Pittsburgh and in prime time on Thursday.

The Panthers won their 10th straight game at Bank of America Stadium on Sunday.
They put up a new franchise record of 35-points in the first half.
Christian McCaffrey had the play of the day, when he jumped over a Tampa Bay defender and kept on going down the field.
McCaffrey had two of Carolina’s 6 touchdowns on Sunday, helping the Panthers win 42 to 28.

On Monday, head coach Ron Rivera acknowledged the Panthers are playing well at the halfway mark, but with four of the next five games on the road, he’s focused on Thursday.

“We don’t want to get too far ahead of ourselves,” Rivera said. “But the biggest thing is trying to get off on a good start on the road trips that are coming up. You know we got a formidable opponent, it’s a Thursday night game, it’s in Pittsburgh. But at the same time, you know we are playing well right now. We’ve built on a lot of things that we’ve done. I do like the direction we are headed as a football team.”

The second half of Panthers season should be tougher than the first half.
In addition to more away games, the Cats face the Saints twice.
