CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Can you believe Thanksgiving is just over a week away?
Don’t fret! Lots of grocery stores are having super sales on the bird and rolling out deals for everything you need for your turkey dinner.
Below is a list of stores that are offering turkey discounts.
Harris Teeter has them fresh for 99 cents a pound if you have a VIC card.
Today is the last day to get a frozen turkey at Publix for 49 cents a pound.
Target has butterball turkeys for 87 cents a pound until Saturday.
And don’t forget to thaw your turkey if you decide to buy it frozen.
Butterball says to allow at least one day of thawing in the fridge for every four pounds. If you’re doing it with cold water, place it breast side down for about 30 minutes per pound.
If you do this ahead of time, make sure you cook your turkey four days after thawing it.
