CMS: Governor’s Village Upper, Lower Campus Closed Thursday Due To Burst Pipe

CHARLOTTE, NC — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools announced Wednesday night that the Governor’s Village STEM Academy will be closed Thursday, November 15th due to a ceiling pipe burst.

The upper and lower campuses in north Charlotte will be closed for all students and staff. Officials say the pipe ruptured in a key building, which caused a loss of heating on campus and flooding in some areas.

Repair work is currently underway.

CMS says Wednesday, December 19th will serve as a makeup day for tomorrow’s closure.
