Good School News: Reel Talk

CHARLOTTE, NC — CMPD is stepping up to have a real talk about social issues with teens.

Officers used the movie ‘The Hate U Give’ to build community trust. The movie addresses the shooting of a black teen by a police officer.

CMPD treated teens to a free showing of the movie and hosted a Q&A. It’s all part of an initiative called Reel 2 Reel Community Conversation.
