Woman Arrested For Stealing Packages In Catawba County

Authorities have arrested and charged a woman who was wanted after being seen on surveillance video stealing packages from a Catawba County residence last week.

Summer Lea Hatcher, of Granite Falls is charged with one count of Misdemeanor Larceny in Caldwell County and two counts of Misdemeanor Larceny in Catawba County.

Hatcher is being held in the Caldwell County Detention Center.

CATAWBA COUNTY, NC — Deputies are trying to identify a woman caught on surveillance while stealing packages from a front porch.

The crime was reported on December 4th. The victim’s home security system shows the suspect replacing their package with an empty red box before leaving in a grey SUV.

The victim says the package had been delivered earlier in the day and left by the front door.

The suspect is described as a white female with long blonde hair, and wearing a red flannel shirt with a black beanie. She was last seen driving a grey early 90’s model Ford Explorer.
