GASTONIA, N.C. — A local family from Gastonia felt the warmth this Christmas thanks to Acosta Heating & Cooling.
Scott Conner and his family received a free heating system on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24. He was nominated for WKQC/WSOC’s Heat For The Holidays contest.
Conner is a single dad with two young kids. Last year, Conner got laid off from his job and has since been doing side jobs without any help to keep his family going.
He and his family live in an older house that has no heat. The heat went out in October and Conner was unable to fix it himself. Unfortunately, the man doesn’t have the funds to have a professional come out and get the job done.
Because of Acosta’s kindness and support, Conner has a new heating system installed in his home. Conner was overwhelmed with joy when he was awarded this much-needed surprise.
Now- his family doesn’t have to wrap up in layers of clothes and blankets to stay warm.
