CHARLOTTE, NC — Another difficult day for travelers at Charlotte-Douglas, with 194 cancellations and 159 delayed flights.  Extra crews have been working throughout the day to de-ice planes and runways.

About 2,000 passengers slept in the terminal Monday night.  Airport staff gave them cots and mats and kept concessions open.

“I’ve read two books, and I did some crocheting.  Been sitting here.  This is what I’ve been doing,” said Heather Huard of New Hampshire.

“Trying to sleep, trying to stay warm.  Just trying to get food,” said Montreal resident Gary Mollins.
