Last Unseasonably Warm Day

Enjoy the last warm day of the week! Highs today will reach the upper 60s. A weak cold front will move in tonight, dragging in colder air. Highs through the rest of the week will struggle to break out of the 40s, with overnight lows dropping into the 20s. Wednesday night/Thursday morning could bring dangerous wind chills to the higher elevations as a combo of wind and cold will make it feel close to zero. The weekend won’t be looking much better as we add some moisture to the mix. We could see snow first thing Saturday morning even in the Piedmont as temps will be below freezing. At this time an accumulation looks meager at best as this will transition back to rain pretty quickly. The higher elevations may have a better shot at more snow through Sunday.
