CHARLOTTE, NC – No arrests less than a week after a deadly home invasion in East Charlotte. Family of the victim, Michael Crawford, says they’re still shaken up after the brazen attack.
Dozens of people held candles, seeking comfort and prayer Sunday evening at Methodist Home Park.
Crawford’s family tells WCCB two guys broke down their door on Rupert Lane early Wednesday morning and shot the 44-year-old man.
Crawford’s 75-year-old mother, two children, and girlfriend were all there when it happened. His sister says she still gets upset thinking about what happened.
“Unbelief. And doubt. Worry and panic. Thinking that this could, how could this happen to such a nice person, loving brother, father, and it’s sad, it really is,” says Monica Smith.
