LANCASTER, SC — A love triangle murder plot was stopped by the fast work of the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office. It all unraveled after deputies got a tip Sunday.
Deputies quickly found 19-year-old Joseph Hegler and pulled him over. They say he was wearing rubber gloves and had duct tape, handcuffs, a skinning knife set, a change of clothes, trash bags, bleach, gasoline, and an ax.
He’s accused of plotting to kidnap and kill an unidentified man over his relationship with an unidentified woman. Hegler is in jail awaiting a bond hearing.
