CHARLOTTE, NC — Albemarle Road Middle and Elementary Schools were placed on lockdown Tuesday afternoon due to police activity in the area.
CMPD says officers were investigating a license plate reader hit near Democracy Drive, which prompted the lockdown. Police have not provided any other details.
CMS says the lockdown did delay dismissal for the elementary school.
