Two Charged With Breaking Into Multiple Vehicles
CHARLOTTE, NC — Police have arrested two suspects accused of breaking into multiple east Charlotte vehicles, and firing shots at one of the victims.
CMPD says they were called to Bluff Wood Cove around 3am after reports of a vehicle break-in and weapon being fired nearby. The victim told police one of the suspects, later identified as Korey Scott, was with another suspect and fired two shots when the victim confronted them.
Police reportedly found the suspects’ vehicle nearby and stopped them near Albemarle Road and Farm Pond Lane. Scott, 29, and Jenna Stewart, 24, were both arrested in connection to the crimes.
Officials say stolen property was found inside the vehicle.
Both suspects have been charged with seven counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle. Scott is additionally charged with assault with a deadly weapon and possession with intent to sale and distribute cocaine.
