CHARLOTTE, NC — Police are investigating a deadly accident in southwest Charlotte.
CMPD says a vehicle ran off the road on Four Horse Road near Birling Road and hit several trees. The driver of that vehicle has been pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the driver lost control of his silver Pontiac G6. No other vehicles were involved and no other occupants were in the vehicle.
At this time, investigators say alcohol/drug use do not appear to have been a factor but the speed of the vehicle has not yet been determined. Officials say the driver was seatbelted at the time of the crash.
His name has not yet been released.
