NEWTON, N.C. — Deputies say they arrested a woman for shooting her boyfriend in Catawba County.
On Friday, authorities say they received a call from a man stating he had been shot and was at his residence on Highway 10 West located in Southwestern Catawba County.
Catawba County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the caller’s residence.
Upon arrival, the victim was identified as 49-year-old Terry Joe Anderson. He told deputies he had been shot by his girlfriend, 55-year-old Karen Holmes Still.
Authorities later arrested and charged Still with Assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm by a felon.
