HUNTERSVILLE, NC — It’s been a year since a Huntersville teenager was shot and killed, and still no arrests. Β 19-year-old Peter Jordan’s mother held a candlelight ceremony for him at her home Thursday night.

Carolyn Averill’s son was gunned down outside an apartment complex off Sam Furr Road. Β Residents say they saw a black Chevy Impala speed off the day of the murder. Β Jordan’s mom is desperate for answers.

“It’s been a difficult year for me and my family,” she said. Β “Sometimes I feel that this isn’t real, that I’m dreaming and I’ll wake up and see him.”

There is a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in this case. Β Please call the Huntersville Police if you have any tips, no matter how small.
