GASTONIA, N.C. — A Gastonia police officer has been arrested and charged with assaulting a woman.
The Gastonia Police Department says officer Josh McSwain, 34, was arrested on Thursday, February 21st, 2019, and charged with Assault on a Female.

According to officials, McSwain has been suspended with pay pending a further investigation. McSwain was hired on January 22nd, 2018.
