Two Charged After Woman Shot And Killed In North Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC — CMPD has charged two suspects with the murder of 31-year-old Therrisha Steward, who was shot multiple times overnight Tuesday in north Charlotte.

Damontez Corbitt, 24, and Tequndo Cradle, 41, were both arrested in Rockingham, NC after being identified as suspects in Steward’s murder. They are each charged with First Degree Murder.

Corbitt is additionally charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.

Steward was found Tuesday just after 1:30am on the side of Tom Hunter Road.Β  Police say she was pronounced dead at the scene.

CMPD still has not released any information on what may have led to the shooting or the relationship between the victim and suspects.
