HUNTERSVILLE, NC — Investigators are still trying to determine what caused a fire Tuesday night that damaged three businesses.

The fire started shortly after 8pm at a business area located on the corner of Old Statesville Road and Huntersville-Concord Road. Multiple fire crews responded, officials say, and it took about 30 minutes to control the flames.

One firefighter reportedly became disoriented while battling the fire, but was quickly rescued without injury. No other injuries were reported.

Huntersville Fire officials say three businesses were impacted by the fire, which spread through the attic.

The building houses several restaurants and businesses including Slice House Pizza, Studio 101, and Video Game World. Which businesses were specifically impacted has not been released.

Officials also have not said what may have caused the fire, but the Mecklenburg County Fire Marshal is investigating.

Anyone traveling through the area is advised to use caution.
