Suspect Faces Additional Charged Related To Deadly Rowan County Shooting

The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office has now charged Savanah Dial with an additional charge of Accessory to Murder.
The charge stems from a deadly shooting Sunday morning in which officials say Hayden Godair shot and killed Jabari Rogers on Cone Drive. Dial then fled the scene with Godair, officials say, and stole a truck nearby.
The two were arrested the following morning in Robeson County after they reportedly got stuck in the mud.
This is an ongoing investigation.

WOODLEAF, NC — Rowan County deputies have charged the man accused of fatally shooting a 17-year-old early Sunday morning.
According to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, Hayden Godair shot and killed Jabari Rogers in the driveway of a Cone Drive home around 1am on March 3rd. Godair then reportedly fled the scene withΒ 21-year-old Savanah Dial.
Around 6:40pm, officials say the two suspects stole aΒ 1998 GMC Sonoma from a home on Parks Road, about a mile from the shooting scene, and fled to Roberson County.
Roberson County deputies say they located Godair and Dial stuck in the mud around 2am when a caller reported a suspicious vehicle in the area. Godair tried to give a fake name, deputies say, but the truck was quickly identified as stolen.
Roberson County deputies say they also found a stolen pistol inside the truck during their search.
Godair has been charged with the Murder of Rogers.
Rowan County deputies say Dial is charged with Larceny of a Motor Vehicle and Possession of a Stolen Firearm.
The investigation is ongoing, and officials say additional charges are possible.
