Three People Charged In Connection To Alexander County Double Homicide
ALEXANDER COUNTY, N.C. — Deputies say they arrested three people in connection to a double homicide that happened in Alexander County in February.
Robert Hoover and Adam Morgan are both facing two counts of first degree murder charges in connection to the shooting deaths of Chad Kennedy and Mark Furey.
Brandy Miller has also been charged in the case. Deputies say she is facing two counts of accessory after the fact.
Kennedy and Furey were both found dead with multiple gunshot wounds at a home on Mount Wesley Church Road in the Stony Point Community on February 9, 2019, according to a news release.
Detectives with the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office say they met with the District Attorney’s Office on March 15th to discuss the facts in reference to the double homicide case. After the meeting, authorities filed charges against Hoover, Morgan and Miller.
Hoover and Miller were taken into custody in Smyth County, Virginia on March 15th. The next day, deputies arrested Morgan at a residence off Three Forks Church Road in Taylorsville.
All three suspects are being held in jail without bond. Detectives say the investigation is continuing and more arrests may be forthcoming.
