Statesville Man Charged With Sexually Assaulting Juvenile In 2016

IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. —  A Statesville man has been arrested and is charged with sexually assaulting a juvenile on several occasions in 2016.

On Monday, January 21st, 2019, the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office received a report regarding a sexual assault that occurred in 2016.

The report named 19-year-old Caleb Wayne Meadows, of Statesville, as the suspect who sexually assaulted a juvenile.

Detectives interviewed the victim who was able to disclose several incidents where she was sexually assaulted by the suspect.  Investigators interviewed additional witnesses searched social media accounts and gathered other evidence.

On Thursday, March 21st, 2019, based on the evidence gathered, Detectives arrested Caleb Meadows and charged him with two counts of Felony First Degree Statutory Rape and two counts of Felony First Degree Statutory Sexual Offense.

Meadows was held under a $100,000 secured bond.
