Motorist Says He Was Shot At While Driving On I-485 In Matthews

MATTHEWS,  N.C. — Police are investigating after a motorist was reportedly shot at while driving on I-485 in Matthews.

According to the Matthews Police Department, on Wednesday, April 3rd, 2019, at about 6:33 a.m., a driver called police and stated that another driver had just shot at his vehicle four times while they were driving on the Outer Loop of I-485 near the E. John Street exit.

One round entered the passenger side of the victim’s vehicle but no injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as an white male wearing a flannel plaid shirt or jacket, driving a white four-door GMC or Chevrolet truck, last seen traveling on the I-485 Outer Loop near the E. Independence/ Highway 74 exit.
