Novant Health: Sexual Assault Awareness Month
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — In the United States, April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. In the city of Charlotte in 2018, over 300 sexual assault cases were reported by CMPD.
The goal of this month is to raise public awareness about sexual violence and educate communities all around the nation on how to prevent it.
To tell us more, we talked to Emily Bellow, a lead forensic and sexual assault nurse from Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center.
