STATESVILLE N.C. – A 70-year-old man died this morning after an assault on Chambers Street in Statesville.
Iredell EMS took the victim to local hospital and he was later transported to Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, N.C. where he died. The man has not yet been identified.
