WAXHAW, N.C. — Passionate Paws Animal Hospital, local Realtor Jimmy Grappone, and Mary O’Neill’s Irish Pub present the 3rd annual Pups ’N Pints event, in downtown Waxhaw.

The event is on May 4th, 2019 from noon until 5pm, Waxhaw right next to Mary O’Neill’s. Pups ’N Pints benefits South Charlotte Dog Rescue, a local 501(c)(3) volunteer dog rescue organization that helps find homes for wonderful dogs in need of adoption.

This year, the event will have live music courtesy of Funkyard Dog as well as Big Pop Productions keeping the event rocking and rolling with their DJ skills.  There will be raffle prizes, beer, food, vendors, and puppies, as well as a Kid Zone with face painting, a bounce house, and more family friendly activities.

The crowd favorite Puppy Zone, will feature a Puppy Kissing Booth where you can get your puppy fix and help raise money for a great cause. There will be plenty of wonderful dogs ready to be adopted as well.

Mary O’Neill’s Irish Pub is hosting the event for the 2nd year in a row and is located at 116 N. Main Street in downtown Waxhaw. Mary O’Neill’s is one of Waxhaw’s most popular spots and will be providing food and drinks, including alcoholic beverages, to guests through their restaurant and outside bar. Non-competing food trucks will be on site as well.

Dr. Susan Bonilla of Passionate Paws Animal Hospital said, ”As this festival grows, we are looking to promote the importance of pet adoption, provide education about the pet adoption process, and not only showcase the immediate benefits that adoption brings to the adopting family but also the long-term benefits adoption has on reducing the ever-growing population of shelter pets.”

Pups ‘N Pints has experienced fantastic growth since 2017. Pet adoptions directly attributed to Pups ‘N Pints increased from a dozen in 2017 to more than 20 in 2018.  The event hopes to find forever homes for more than 30 dogs.
