EAST LANSING, M.I. — Police say a Charlotte Hornets basketball player has been arrested for domestic assault. Β
Jeffery Taylor was arrested early Thursday morning at the Marriott at University Place in East Lansing. He has been charged with assault, domestic assault and malicious destruction of property. His bond was set at $5,000.
The Charlotte Hornets released the following statement regarding Taylor’s arrest “The Charlotte Hornets were made aware of the incident involving Jeffery Taylor early this evening. The organization is in the process of gathering more information and doing our due diligence. This a matter that we take very seriously.”
Taylor is a forward from Vanderbilt University. Β He was selected by the Charlotte Bobcats in the 2012 draft.
