GASTONIA, NC — Officials with the Gastonia Fire and Police Departments are investigating an arson that occurred over the weekend. 
The fire happened just before 6pm on Saturday at a home on Myrtle Street. Officials say the blaze caused roughly $18,000 in damages.
Investigators say the fire was the result of arson, and they are looking for any information that may help lead to a suspect.
