The NCAA Division I lacrosse tournament heads into the quarterfinals this weekend with four unseeded teams still in the running for the title.
On Saturday at Hofstra, high-scoring Albany faces ACC tournament champion and No. 6 seed Notre Dame (10-5), and Bryant (16-4) plays No. 7 Maryland (12-3).
On Sunday at the University of Delaware, it’s Johns Hopkins (11-4) against top-seeded and defending national champion Duke (14-3), and Drexel (13-4) against No. 5 Denver (15-2).
Albany coach Scott Marr says the field “speaks volumes of how competitive it is.”
