Cory Booker Coming To Charlotte To Discuss His Gun Violence Prevention Plan

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Presidential candidate Cory Booker will be in Charlotte on May 10th.  His campaign says he will participate in a roundtable discussion on gun violence in our communities.  According to a news release, he is expected to present “his own sweeping plan to curb gun violence by keeping guns out of the hands of people who shouldn’t have them, holding gun manufacturers accountable, and taking on the NRA.”

Booker will be joined by current and former elected officials, clergy members, community leaders, and local stakeholders.  The event will be held at 11am on May 10th at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church on Beatties Ford Road.  Doors open at 10:30am.
