Fast Fashion Environmental Impact

The rise of fast fashion has Americans buying more clothes but they’re also throwing more out which is impacting our environment.

Experts say stores such as H&M and Forever 21 price items low enough that it encourages over consumption. Americans send four times more clothing to landfills than they did in 1908. Researchers say those discarded clothes can take years to decompose and up to 200 years if it’s made of polyester.
