CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is asking for assistance locating a man wanted for disabling his electronic monitoring device.
William Clifton is wanted for Assault on a Female, Communicating Threats, Damage to Property and Interfering with an Electronic Monitoring Device.

Clifton was court ordered to wear an electronic monitoring device as a condition of his pre-trial release. On May 9th, Clifton cut off his electronic monitor and was last known to be in the area of 238 W. 28th Street, Charlotte.
