Firefighter Injured Battling Massive Business Fire In Kannapolis

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. — One firefighter was injured battling a massive business fire in Kannapolis.  The blaze was first reported around 9am at a former appliance repair store on South Main Street near Walker Street.

This is at the Main Street Business Center across from What-A-Burger.

The four-alarm fire is now under control but firefighters are continuing to extinguish hotspots, according to a news release.  Officials say the fire did spread to a business next door before it was contained.

The former appliance repair store is a total loss.  Main Street between Bethpage and Rogers Lake Road will remain closed until further notice.
