CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police need your help identifying a man accused of shooting someone in Uptown Charlotte Wednesday morning.
Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department say officers responded to East Trade Street near The Charlotte Area Transit Station just before 11am in reference to a shooting.
Officers located a victim who was suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. They are expected to survive.
The initial investigation revealed that the victim and the suspect were in a physical altercation just prior to the shooting, according to a news release.
Detectives released this picture of the alleged shooter. Anyone who recognizes the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
