CHARLOTTE, NC — The Hornets say there is no timetable on a possible reinstatement for Jeff Taylor. The team banned the forward from all team activities on Friday, a day after police in Michigan arrested him on domestic assault charges.
Taylor is accused of assaulting his girlfriend and a hotel worker, and causing hundreds of dollars worth of property damage. Hornets GM Rich Cho says the team is awaiting on the outcome of the NBA’s investigation.
“We take domestic violence as a very serious matter, and that’s, um, something we don’t take lightly,” said Cho.
Cho hopes Taylor’s arrest doesn’t take away from excitement as the Hornets head into their first season back in Charlotte.
