UPDATE: Police arrested and charged James Springs, Jr., 21, early this morning for the drive-by shooting last night in the 5900 block of the Plaza.
Springs is charged with two counts of attempted first degree murder and eluding police.
CHARLOTTE, N.C.– Two people were shot in East Charlotte Sunday night.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police say a man and woman were shot in the 5900 block of The Plaza. One was shot in the leg and the other was shot in the arm. Both were transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Police say there may have been a car driving by when shots were fired.
No further information has been released at this time.
