Evacuations Underway In Northwest Charlotte Due To Flooding

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Evacuations are underway in northwest Charlotte after weekend rain causes flooding along the Catawba River.

Several people were evacuated by the Charlotte Fire Department as water from the Catawba River continues to rise from the heavy amounts of rain our area received over the weekend.

Most of the evacuations are along Riverside Drive and Lake Drive. No injuries have been reported. This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
