CHARLOTTE, N.C.- This week’s Waiting Child is energetic, loves sports and you’ll always catching him rooting for action heroes to take down the bad guys.
Meet Tayquan. His friends call him Ty.
He loves watching the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, “Well, we got the blue ninja his name is Leo the red ninja is Raphael the orange ninja is.” Okay, maybe he can’t remember all the ninja turtles’ names, but Ty does know who the bad guys are, “The bad guy is Shredder and the Dog Pound and they got these little robot things.”
When it comes to super heroes and action movies, Ty is a big fan. He says he always wants the good guys to win, “Captain America, he can jump far and run fast. Xmen, he has sharp things in his hand.”
Ty just turned 11 years old. He says he gets good grades, loves math and science, and is looking forward to going to middle school next year.
