Police: Two Men Arrested For Several Narcotics Charges

STATESVILLE, NC–  After a month long investigation police say they arrested two men on several narcotics charges.

Authorities say the investigation began after information was gathered about heroin and prescription pills being sold in Western Iredell County.

Undercover officers say they were able to identify John Ross Shoaf, 20, and Nicholas Dale Johnson, 22, as the suspects.

After several hand to hand transactions police say they arrested Shoaf and charged him with two counts of felony trafficking opium, one count of possession with intent, one felony count of possession with intent schedule IV and one felony count of selling or delivering a counterfeit substance.

Police say they arrested Johnson after he was located by the warrant squad. He was charged with one felony count of obtaining property on false pretense.
