CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Here is a list of the various offices and agencies and their hours for the Independence Day holiday:
- The Mecklenburg County Department of Social Services, the Tax Office, Elections Office, the Register of Deeds Office, and the Land Use and Environmental Services Agency will all be closed on July 4th.
- The Department of Social Services hotlines will continue to operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week to receive reports of suspected abuse or neglect. To report abuse of seniors or the disabled, call 704-336-CARE. To report abuse, neglect or human trafficking of children, call 980-31-HELPS.
- The Mecklenburg County Health Department will be closed on July 4th.
- The Main Library and all library branches will be closed on July 4th.
- Solid Waste administrative offices and facilities will be closed on July 4th (the exception is Compost Central which is located at 140 Valleydale Road. It will be open from 7am-4pm).
- Park and Recreation administrative offices will be closed on July 4th. Recreation and Senior Centers will also be closed. Nature Centers will be open regular hours.
- Ray’s Splash Planet will be open from 10am-6pm. The Mecklenburg County Aquatic Center will be open 8am-5pm. Cordelia Pool and Double Oaks Family Aquatic Center will be open from 12pm-7pm. Ramsey Creek Beach will be open from 10am-7:30pm. The beach shuttle will operate July 4th-7th from Cornelius Park and Ride lot, 20300 Sefton Park Road. The Marion Diehl Pool is currently closed for renovations.
- The City of Charlotte Solid Waste Services will provide collection services on a regular schedule the week of July 4th.
- All UPS and Postal Service locations will be closed on July 4th.
- All ABC locations in Mecklenburg County will be closed on July 4th.
