Man Dies After Co-Worker Accidentally Hits Him With Vehicle At Concord Asphalt Company

CONCORD, N.C. — Police say a man died after a co-worker accidentally hit him with a vehicle at a Concord asphalt company.

The accident happened just before noon on Monday at Ferebee Asphalt in Concord.

Officials say 67-year-old William Thomas Downer of Charlotte died at the scene after a co-worker struck him with a vehicle on the company’s property.

Police say the incident was accidental and OSHA has been contacted to investigate further.
