Authorities in Alexander County have charged Jonathan Johnson with Attempted Murder and given an additional $1,000,000 bond, bringing his bond total to $1, 250, 000.
Johnson was initially arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill inflicting serious injury.

TAYLORSVILLE, N.C. — Deputies say they have a teenager in custody after he reportedly stabbed a man multiple times in the head and neck, according to a news release.
Deputies say they responded to Liledoun Road in Taylorsville just after 8pm on July 15th in reference to a stabbing.
Upon their arrival, they say they found 20-year-old Darion Campbell suffering from multiple stab wounds.
Campbell told deputies he was stabbed by 19-year-old Jonathan Johnson after the two got into an altercation at Johnson’s home. Campbell was flown to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte and is listed in serious condition.
Johnson was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill inflicting serious injury. He is currently being held in the Alexander County Detention Center under a $250,000 bond.
