CONCORD, N.C. — Emergency crews in Concord have evacuated Walmart after receiving a report of a suspicious package. Officials say the package was located by an employee in a shopping cart in the parking lot of the store.
Officials say they were called to Walmart on Concord Commons Place SW around 10am to investigate. The bomb squad has been called in to try to identify what is inside the package. Several businesses around Walmart have also been evacuated as well.
No injuries have been reported. Police ask that you please avoid the area at this time. No other details are being released at this time. WCCB has a crew at the scene. Check back for updates.
