ALBEMARLE, NC — Albemarle Police have charged an Asheboro man with several child sex related crimes.
Carlos Gutierrez was arrested on July 26th, officials say, after a report was filed in May claiming he had sexual relations with a minor.
Following an investigation into the claims, detectives obtained warrants charging Gutierrez with two counts each of Statutory Rape of a Child less than or equal to 15 years of age, Statutory Sex Offense with a Child less than or equal to 15 years of age and Crimes Against Nature.
Officials say he was given a $100,000 unsecured bond “due to circumstances in the case.” His first scheduled court appearance is August 12th.
